Gianluca Di Marzio, a famous journalist, has reported that Chelsea may decide to let Raheem Sterling leave the team after getting Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton.
The Blues swiftly agreed a £54million deal for the Portugal international on Saturday, with the player travelling to London for a medical and expected to sign the deal soon.
The arrival of Neto gives the club another option in attack, which could mean the ยูฟ่าเบท club are willing to offload a number of players, with Di Marzio suggesting Sterling could be the player.
Italian giants Juventus are reportedly considering a move for Sterling after their bid for Porto forward Galeno fell through after failing to meet the €40 million asking price.
The Blues already have Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk competing for places, with exciting teenager, Willian, coming in next summer.
As such, the Blues may have to sell one of those players on to ensure they are keeping as many players as possible happy with the amount of game-time on offer.
Sterling attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs earlier this summer and is arguably a more saleable asset than Mykhailo Mudryk, who Chelsea would struggle to generate interest to pay back the £62million they paid to sign the Ukraine international in January 2023.
